জর্ডানের মরুভূমির অভ্যন্তরে সাফাই নামক স্থানে অবিশ্বাস্যভাবে গত ১৫০০ বছর ধরে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে অবিশ্বাস্য এক গাছ । মহানবী হযরত মুহাম্মদ সাঃ এর স্মৃতি বিজড়িত গাছটি সাহাবী গাছ নামে পরিচিত । মহানবী হযরত মুহাম্মদ সাঃ 12 বছর বয়সে বা 582 খ্রিস্টাব্দে চাচা আবু তালিবের সাথে বাণিজ্যের উদ্দেশ্যে মক্কা থেকে সিরিয়া যাওয়ার পথে জর্ডানের শতশত মাইলব্যাপী মরুভূমিতে ক্লান্ত হয়ে বিশ্রামের জায়গা খুঁজছিলেন । কিন্তু কোথাও কোনো জায়গা না পেয়ে শেষে লতাপাতা হীন মৃতপ্রায় এক গাছের নিচে আশ্রয় নেন তারা । তখন তাদের ছায়া প্রদানের জন্য আল্লাহর নির্দেশে ওই নির্জীব গাছটি সজীব হয়ে ওঠে । আর সেই গাছটি বর্তমানের সাহাবী গাছ । আশ্চর্যের বিষয় গাছটি যেখানে অবস্থিত সেখানে তেমন কোনো স্থানে কোন গাছ বেঁচে থাকা সম্ভব নয় এবং আশেপাশের কয়েক শত কিলোমিটার মধ্যে আর কোন গাছ নেই । উত্তপ্ত বালুকাময় মরুভূমি মাঝে সবুজ গাছটি আজও একা দাড়িয়ে থেকে আল্লাহ তাআলার অসীম ক্ষমতার সাক্ষ্য দিয়ে যাচ্ছে এবং সেইসাথে প্রিয় নবী হযরত মুহাম্মদ সাঃ এর স্মৃতি আঁকড়ে ধরে রেখেছে । যা বিশ্বের কাছে এক বিস্ময় ।
An incredible tree has stood incredibly for the last 1,500 years in a place called Safai in the Jordanian desert. The tree with the memory of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is known as Sahabi tree The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was 12 years old, or in 582 AD, on his way from Mecca to Syria for trade with his uncle Abu Talib, exhausted in the hundreds of miles of Jordanian desert. But after finding no place anywhere, they took shelter under a dead tree without any herbs. Then, by the command of Allah, the lifeless tree came to life to give them shade. And that tree is the current Sahabi tree. Surprisingly, it is not possible for any tree to survive in the place where the tree is located, and there are no more trees within a few hundred kilometers of the vicinity. The green tree still stands alone in the middle of the heated sandy desert, testifying to the infinite power of Allah, as well as the memory of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Which is a surprise to the world.
